About

The European Society for Astronomy in Culture (SEAC) is a professional association of scientists working in the field of Cultural Astronomy, including the interdisciplinary fields of Archaeoastronomy and Ethnoastronomy.

SEAC

This is the third time a SEAC event is hosted in Greece, after SEAC XIV (2006, Rhodes) and SEAC XXI (2013, Athens). The theme for SEAC XXXIII is Star lore in the land of the Centaurs.

Outreach activities devoted to the general public will be scheduled during the weekend. This will include a lecture for the general public; stargazing, organised by the Astronomy and Space Society of Volos; an archaeoastronomy film festival organised by Cinedoc.

A workshop for the conference participants is also discussed.
